Victoria Education Centre is a day and residential Special School in Poole, Dorset offering specialised, high quality education, therapy and care for young people aged 3-19. In addition, they now offer a residential transition service for 19-25 year olds.
The students who attend Victoria have physical disabilities or complex medical/neurological conditions and many have additional needs including communication difficulties, learning difficulties and sensory impairments.

Where charities are concerned, every penny counts. Victoria Education Centre entrusted Dataquest to change their print topology. This involved migrating their printing away from expensive desktop devices, delivering a managed print solution that would help them drive down the cost of on-going office document production, as well as eliminating unnecessary/wasteful print.
Following our professional services consultation, Dataquest delivered next generation multifunctional devices together with a server based print management system.
Key to the solution is ease of use, making it simple and intuitive for staff to print and collect their work by releasing it from the front panel of any available multifunctional device. Print jobs that are not released get automatically deleted overnight. The system also supplies very robust reporting and print restriction tools. This allows Victoria Education Centre and Dataquest to work together to identify and control unwanted changes in print behaviour going forward.
The system has eradicated uncollected prints. Over a six month period the Victoria Education Centre has saved over five thousand unnecessary prints being output.
In addition to reducing print volume, the system has other equally important benefits including eliminating confidential data being left on printers, lowering energy usage, load balancing and improved reliability.
Livability is a national charity, Dataquest also have the privilege of working with them at other sites including Nash College and their head office in Greenwich.
